This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing business area within Thales supporting delivery of the Cyber Security Portfolio’s Security Audit &! Test services . The Cyber Security Audit and Test Practitioner will undertake Cyber Security Consultancy tasks for customers in the MoD, Critical National Infrastructure, Government and Enterprise markets including Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing.
Key Responsibilities
Security Test activities such as Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing, architecture/build review and holistic audits
Security threat analysis and derived security requirement capture
Developing customer relationships
Supporting system architectural analysis and detailed security design
Work package creation, estimation, planning & tracking
Engagement with sub-contractors to gather and evaluate evidence of security compliance
Supporting ITT / PQQ and Bid responses
Required skills and experience
Essential
Application of Security testing principles across a variety of programmes, projects ! and platforms
Knowledge of common security practices ! and vulnerabilities with experience of undertaking Vulnerability Assessments or Penetration Testing against network infrastructure or web application targets
Previous experience of multi-platform technologies (Microsoft/Linux/Unix)
Previous experience of network infrastructure technologies (Cisco/Juniper/HP)
Previous experience of web application technologies (three-tier/dynamic)
Knowledge of security testing tools such as Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit Framework, Wireshark, Cain, Burpsuite
Previous customer interaction on security testing projects/programmes
Desirable
CREST/CHECK/TIGER certified
Formal training in security related techniques/disciplines
Experience of Application Code Review, Malware Analysis and Intrusion Detection
Leading customer engagements for security testing activities
In line with Thales' security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of! identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment/education history for the past 3 years. This role requires enhanced security clearance to secret (SC) level. Candidates will be required to meet the criteria outlined above and seek Defence Vetting Agency clearance, which will be sponsored by Thales.
