Position Objectives:
Apply theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience in civil engineering design and construction within the telecommunications industry. This role will involve working closely with a multidisciplinary team to design and deliver robust and efficient civil infrastructure solutions for telecom tower projects.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior engineers in design development and develop detailed civil engineering designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and industry standards.
Perform structural analysis using appropriate software tools to determine the structural capacity and stability of the tower and its foundation.
Design and analyze tower foundations, considering various factors such as soil bearing capacity, settlement, and lateral stability, to ensure a safe and reliable foundation system.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities and obtain necessary permits and approvals required for construction activities, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Prepare detailed technical specifications, design reports, and construction drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and site visits to monitor construction progress, verify compliance with design specifications, and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the construction phase.
Work closely with project managers, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and timely completion of design deliverables.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to telecom tower design and construction and apply them to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including structural analysis, foundation design, soil mechanics, and construction materials.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating design drawings and modeling.
Experience with structural analysis software is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and regulatory authorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex engineering challenges and propose innovative design solutions.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in design calculations, drawings, and reports.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, supporting and contributing to project objectives.
Time Management: Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements..
