Define test plans, produce test scripts and track defects for closure
Review test deliverables with Product Control and! Financial Control to ensure they are fit for purpose
Peer review of test plans and scripts
Liaise with Business analysts and developers to understand requirements and ensure accurate coverage of testing scenarios
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the standard test process and strategic test tools
Contribute to the definition of the test strategy and approach across the multiple MOTIF deliveries to include regression testing for upstream providers
Minimise unnecessary rework through effective quality assurance of testing deliverables
Manage and escalate risks and issues to the MOTIF Programme Test Manager
Person Requirements
Qualifications (essential): Educated to degree level (2.1 minimum) or equivalent
Candidate Profile
Excellent Communication skills
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to work effectively upon multiple work items at the same time
Can demonstrate attention to detail and rigor
P! ossess good organisational skills
Flexible approach to wor! king hours
Practical and pragmatic approach to work.
This role would suit candidates from one of two backgrounds:
Experience required
A strong working knowledge of financial/banking systems, knowledge of accounting, financial and product control functions.
Strong knowledge and experience of Software Test Life Cycle and various models - Waterfall, Agile, Iterative etc.
Preferred
Qualified accountant
A strong working knowledge of one or more test management tools (Quality Centre or equivalent).
Experience of creation and execution of automated tests
Experience of testing application calculations and data analysis (not just UI)
