To ensure the successful operational delivery of the ninth edition of this competition, we have set up a Local FIFA Subsidiary (LFS). Its aim is to improve the experience of over 1.1 billion people watching the FIFA Women's World Cup, by delivering innovative solutions across all operational areas.

We are currently looking to recruit our Transport Coordinators - Australia (various roles and venues)

Job responsibilities
The transport coordinator role is a key position of the Transportation functional area. They have the responsibility, under the guidance of transport managers, for the successful planning and delivery of Event Transport in assigned Host City for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023™.

The various Transport Coordinator roles are listed below.
  • Stadium Transport Coordinator:Reporting to the Host City Transport Manager, the Stadium Transport Coordinator will assist the Host City Transport Manager for the efficient and safe running of transport operations.
  • Hotel Transport Coordinator:The FIFA Venue Hotel Transport Coordinator is responsible for the development of the Hotel's Operational plan for the Transport operations in a respective Official FIFA Constituent Groups Hotel. The candidate is responsible for the development, management, and delivery of all Hotel based operations.
  • HQ Transport Coordinator:The HQ Transport Coordinator is responsible for the Transport operations in at HQ in Auckland. The candidate is responsible for the delivery of all HQ based operations.
  • Fleet Workforce Coordinator:The Workforce Coordinator will be part of the team responsible for planning, recruiting, onboarding, training, and deploying the Fleet Operations and Volunteer workforce.

Job Duties
  • Assist in all aspects of delivering the transport system at the hotels, stadiums, airports and host city headquarters.
  • Work on the Transportation Information desk and supervise all volunteers assigned to this position.
  • Assist in the implementation of the transportation requirements for all FIFA Client Groups, including VVIP/VIP, Referees and Workforce
  • Create and deliver workforce training materials for all TPT staff and volunteers in assigned FIFA Hotel
  • Assists in the distribution and exchange of all client-related information along with LFS Guest Operations
  • Communicates with FWWC 2023 Fleet & Bus Teams relating to vehicle and driver requirements.
  • Oversee the management of the Transportation Information desk and supervise all staff and volunteers assigned to this position.
  • Liaising with Guest Operations to provide any transportation-related information needed to ensure that Guests are appropriately informed about transportation services.
  • Assists in the distribution and exchange of all client-related information amongst all parties involved, including Guest Operations, Transport Venue Management, Referee Liaison Officer, FWWC 2023 Bus & Fleet teams, and others.
  • Assist in all aspects of delivering the transport system at the FIFA HQ.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the FIFA HQ transportation services including publishing/communicating timetables.
  • Responsible for ensuring all applicable FIFA Staff bookings are made using the FIFA ground transportation application (TMM)
  • May have the responsibility to request rideshare/taxi services for authorised FIFA staff between official Venues/destinations.
  • Manage volunteers on a daily basis.
  • Creates and delivers workforce training materials for all TPT staff and volunteers in assigned FIFA Hotel
  • Responsible for effective and efficient Venue transport operations in terms of parking, load zones, and staging areas
  • Prepares reports on operational activities and incidents.
  • Content and report preparation for the fleet operations related issues
  • Oversees training of staff and contractors, if applicable, to ensure Fleet Operations are delivered.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

Qualification, experience and skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in either the following: Sport Management, Transport, Event Management or business administration, or a combination of education and experience relating to position.
  • Minimum of Three (2) years in either Transport/ Events/Venue Operations/ HR recruitment or Sports work experience: ideally within the football, sports, event operations.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and customer service.
  • Experience in interviewing employees regarding accidents, complaints, grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for stadium/fleet role.
  • Individual must be motivated, capable of working independently, with excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from support staff, managers, and clients.

The FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023 Local Entity was established after the two host countries were awarded the hosting rights to the world's biggest women's sporting event in June 2020.

The Entity, with offices in Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau and Sydney/Gadigal, is tasked with delivering the tournament for 32 teams (up from 24 in 2019) in ten stadiums across 9 host cities in New Zealand and Australia from 20 July to 20 August 2023.

The first FIFA Women's World Cup to be hosted by two confederations (Asia and Oceania), and the first in the Southern Hemisphere, will not only take players and fans 'Beyond Greatness' but will radically move the dial for gender equality.
