LATAM Media Planning Lead

The HP in-house media team is responsible for planning, buying and maintain programmatic and biddable ad campaigns in multiple DSPs, Social, and Search platforms. The LATAM Media Planning Lead role is responsible for delivering best practices in media strategy, planning, and buying across all communications channels, the team’s overall effectiveness, with the individual leveraging their expertise in managing the operations for digital media reporting and analysis to ensure HP’s advertising objectives are met while maintaining a balance of performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Leading a team of 2-3 planners
Principal point of contact with campaign managers, internal and external agency partners, and media representatives
Development of overall media investment strategy of major cross-channel campaigns for Print and PS business units
Translate media briefs into strategic plans to meet goals/objectives by leading holistic media planning for a portfolio of brands across all media channels such as Paid Social, Programmatic, Search, CTV (Connected TV), TV, Print, Audio, etc.
Creating actionable audience and performance insights in collaboration with campaign managers, agencies, and media activations specialists
Identifying and implementing creative and data-informed media ideas and tactics to drive continuously improving campaign performance.
Leverage industry planning tools, data, market understanding and a relentless focus on the consumer to conduct audience identification analysis and scenario planning.
Partner with in-house media activation teams to plan, execute and optimize media investment across channels/marketplaces.
Partner with Media Data science, Analytics, Reporting and Insights to evaluate emerging media opportunities and execute on-going Test & Learns to fuel insights and innovation.
Requirements:
Strong background across offline and online media channels. Digital channels including Programmatic, Social and Search
Experience using industry standard planning tools & data sets to create insight driven media plans and optimizations.
Strong analytics background: Able to triangulate between data, media goals and opportunities to make recommendations and optimize plans.
Leadership qualities, entrepreneurial mindset, results driven.
Working knowledge and experience with media principles, marketing activities, tactics, and tools.
Experienced and confident in presenting complex data in an easy format to top management.
8+ years of experience in media planning and buying on agency or brand side.
Experience managing/developing a team.
Bachelor’s degree
Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish, Portuguese a plus
