Salary: D.O.E. starting at $16/hr

Summary/objectives

A Beachpoint Preschool and School Age Care Aide’s job is to see children and their families transform into authentic followers of Jesus Christ. Through engagement in the Beachpoint community, we will train and teach our students what they need to know to grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.

Essential functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

• Staff members are expected to participate in the extra activities of the school, such as Open House, Christmas program, Grandparent’s Day, and Spring Festival. All staff will be paid.
• All staff will be expected to start work at least one week before students arrive to plan, prep, and train.
• All staff will attend weekly staff meetings.
• Each staff will have at least two personal evaluations with the director each year.
• All staff is to cooperate as a part of a team in areas that require team support such as yard duty, assembly, chapel, preparation & clean-up.
• All staff is to maintain an attitude of professionalism both in the classroom and in the community.
• Aide duties include, but are not limited to, setting up classroom snack, helping children in the restroom, and caring for students both inside and outside the classrooms

Physical demands

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the classroom.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children.

Required education and requirements

• Teacher qualified status, as defined by Social Services and the licensing requirements of the State of California, for the age group that you are assigned to.
• Be an engaged member of Beachpoint Church, participating in corporate worship, life groups, and being generous with your time, talents, and treasures.
