Position: IT Support Engineer
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required
Experience: 1-3 years
Location: London, UK

We are searching for a talented IT Support Engineer for our London office. This office houses 20+ employees supporting our international operations, suppliers, and product categories and is continuing to grow as we ramp up our European business. This individual will be the first IT Support staff at this location, which presents tremendous opportunity as we build the IT function to scale with European business.
We are looking to bring on board a talented individual ear! ly in his/her career who wants broad exposure to the technologies that support our infrastructure and our large-scale Internet e-commerce platform.

Responsibilities:
Providing first and second-level support to employees for all Dell desktop, laptop, and server hardware/software as well as other physical IT infrastructure (UPS, storage systems, etc.) 0 preparing, repairing, and deploying desktop computers and other office equipment

Troubleshooting technologies such as: Windows XP/7, Microsoft Office including Outlook, File/Print Services, Cisco VoIP telephony and networking, and our own proprietary software

Supporting all client-server applications such as SCCM, WSUS, Spam/Virus Protection

Maintaining and expanding our Ethernet networks

Managing, monitoring and troubleshooting daily batch and backup processes

Helping with the planning and deployment of new and upgraded products

Helping to seek o! ut and implement ways to streamline process and system efficiency

Qualifications:
BA or BS degree from a 3-year university

A high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

A strong sense of customer service, attention to detail and desire for organization

Experience in a college lab, helpdesk or other service-oriented IT role a large plus

Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies

Working knowledge of Active Directory account management, Exchange 2007, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects

Unix/Linux (particularly FreeBSD) knowledge/interest a plus

Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize appropriately

Familiarity with email, FTP and HTTP technologies

Scripting ability, especially using VBScript, PowerShell, and/or PHP, a large plus
