Detica has an exciting and rapidly growing Architecture practice ! and is looking for Architects to deliver compelling multi-channel online solutions. Our projects are fast-moving and you will need to be capable of not only defining the solution, but also skilled at communicating it with clarity and passion.
You will be working with our Digital Media team and directly with clients to shape innovative and compelling architectures that solve real business problems and provide genuine competitive advantage. You will be the focus of the technical solution and all that it involves; from defining the most appropriate technology through to ensuring it is highly performant and scalable to estimating the delivery effort required.
What you will be doing
You will play a pivotal role in our Digital Media projects and programmes:
You will be a technologist at heart, with deep experience in Internet technologies
You will Serve as a subject matter expert for specific areas of applications or products with the willi! ngness and aptitude to expand into new technologies
We are! particularly interested in individuals with extensive web technologies experience including a few, but not all aspects of, large scale public facing websites, social media, mobile application development, web CMS packages, eCommerce packages, enterprise portals, intranets, extranets, collaboration technologies, ECM/document management, mobile web, search, analytics, rich Internet technologies and applications
WeÂ're looking for experience of architecting solutions in the above technology areas with specific experience one and more of the following Java, JEE, Spring, MVC frameworks, PHP, HTML5, Adobe CQ5, Oracle Webcenter Sites
You will make sure business requirements can be supported by a new or existing architecture and anticipating technical issues before they arise
You will produce and review estimates for new application delivery or changes to existing applications
You will work with a wider team to engage and manage suppliers, staying up to date with t! he latest technologies including evaluation of their offerings against business requirements
You will produce clear and concise documents that describe applications and systems accurately
Act as a technical point of contact and mentor for development teams and client personnel
Working closely with our delivery teams to guide, review and challenge their work
What we are looking for
You will be expected to cover a significant subset of the following capabilities and skills:
Full application life-cycle experience and responsibility for the technical integrity of a solution
Strong knowledge of design and architectural patterns
UML and RUP experience
Experience of software development methodologies and structured approach to development including agile delivery
Experience of leading development teams to deliver successful solutions
Experience with a broad range of current technologies and products
YouYou will! have:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal !
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent negotiation skills with stakeholders, vendors and suppliers
Understanding of existing and emerging technologies
A degree in either IT, Engineering, Mathematics or Science, with strong A-levels or equivalent.
Clearance
