A lovely community school in South Norwood, which is run by the Council for students with severe and/or profound learning difficulties and autism, is looking to appoint LSAs for September. As an LSA, you will be workong closely with families, Connexions Service, Social Services and the Health Authority to place pupils in the most appropriate provision.
The schools ethos is to ensure that all students are respected and valued as individuals, provided with a safe, secure, positive and stable environment for education and build students’ self-confidence and ability to cope with adult life.
As an LSA, you will be required to work flexibly, taking direction from class teachers and the SENCO in planning and administering the curriculum and following a specialist programme.
LSAs are required to have experience working with students with a variety of severe and complex learning needs, including physical and sensory disabilit! ies and autism.
