Responsibil! ities:
We are currently looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our shift teams operating chemical reactors in the manufacture of novel pharmaceutical substances. The successful candidates will thrive in a fast paces and challenging environment in roles that combine a very good understanding of team working with the practical ability to convert this knowledge into a workable solution to satisfy customer requirements. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working as part of a small team working a 4 on 4 off 12 hour shift pattern in an operation running 24/7. As a Pharmaceutical Operator Specialist you must possess proven communication skills to facilitate the exchange of information between the shift teams and other departments to ensure that project goals are efficiently achieved and that the needs of the schedule are met.
To operate the pilot plant reactors and ancillary equipment following all current procedures (IOPs, BPGs! , etc.) to maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, hy! giene and quality.
To get immediate advice from the Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Process Chemist if in any doubt about written instructions and directions (e.g. IOPs, BPGs).
To notify Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Process Chemist immediately of any irregularities so that corrective actions can be planned and implemented.
To promptly and accurately complete documents as directed and record all irregularities.
To work to the defined schedules and deadlines undertaking to work to the appropriate shift patterns as necessary.
To support environmental monitoring and report/record information.
To carry out routine maintenance and re-configuration to reaction vessels and ancillary equipment to ensure production is carried out in a timely and safe manner (i.e. authorised modifications to glassware and transfer lines as directed in the BPG and according to IOPs).
To be fully familiar with the plant services, identify and report problems an! d correct faults if authorised to do so.
To participate fully and diligently in all training schemes to ensure that high standards of safety and quality are maintained at all times.
To ensure training records are accurately maintained and updated regularly.
To participate fully and diligently in project schemes to support continuous improvement in working practices.
Qualifications:
Speaks and writes English.
Over 18 years of age
Fairly physically fit
Previous work experience
IT literate
Previous experience of shift working (Desirable)
Previous production experience (Desirable)
Fork Lift Licence (Desirable)
Experience in First Aid (Desirable)
Basic scientific knowledge (Desirable)
Knowledge of safety regulations (Desirable)
Higher Level qualifications (Desirable)
