To secure the Dotcom Branch site by providing protection for Partners, visitors, the premises and minimise business loss due to theft.
Accountable f! or:
•Monitoring site security and integrity
•Maintain operation of the Security Control room.
•Delivery and implementation of security policy, procedures and change
•Completion of incident and accident reports
•Liaising with emergency services
•Maintaining shift communications
Key Performance Indicators:
•Partner Survey results
•Attendance and timekeeping record
•Loss prevention/ profit protection
•Customer and Line manager feedback
Main Responsibilities:
1. Enforce and be fully conversant with Partnership policy, security operating procedures, site rules and emergency response.
2. Maintain close liaison with emergency services in the event of an emergency and communicate professionally and effectively at all times.
3. Maintain the integrity of site security with regard to all Partners, agency workers and visitors, offering advi! ce, support and guidance in relation to Health & Safety and se! curity.
4. Adopt an inquisitive approach, particularly whilst patrolling all areas of the property, reporting anything suspicious, out of place, damage or deliberate attempts to gain entry.
5. Assist in the prevention and detection of theft by performing security searching of Partners, lockers & vehicles, monitoring stock picking operation and collate evidence of loss in accordance with Partnership policy and the law.
6. Carry out Cash Handling duties as directed.
7. Be fully conversant with and monitor all security equipment, including CCTV, intruder and fire alarm systems within the Security Control room.
8. Ensure all Security / Health & Safety incidents are correctly recorded and reported.
9. Carry out other specific tasks and duties as directed by the Section Manager.
Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
Mandatory:
•Physically fit and active to respond to the needs of a bus! y warehouse site
•Knowledge of CCTV, intruder, fire, access control systems & basic PC skills
•Excellence with attendance and timekeeping
•Basic understanding of Health & Safety and fire risk.
•Good organisational and problem solving skills
•An excellent communicator with the ability to deal with Partners across functions and at different levels
Desired:
•Held positions within the Police or Security Industry
•SIA & CCTV licence holders
•Knowledge of basic fire fighting
•Basic understanding of IT
