An IT Support Specialist/ 1st & 2nd Line Support Analyst! is needed for one of the UK's leading Retail/ Hospitality businesses.

Skills required:

  • Using call logging systems and working to Service level agreements
  • Experience of supporting XP Desktops and Servers
  • Network troubleshooting skills
  • Experience of SQL Server
  • MS Exchange and Active Directory user experience
  • Experience of working with EPOS systems would also be beneficial.
Working from their offices in Milton Keynes (which is an easy commute from Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes, Luton, Northampton, Banbury, Cambridge, Stevenage, Oxford and Bedford), you will join a team of 4 specialists who currently deal with all IT Support calls for the entire estate.

You will take full call ownership from logging the support calls that come in to the helpdesk, to working with users to resolve IT issues and offer a fix where appropriate. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be extremely! customer service focused. You will be experienced in dealing ! with users/ customers over the phone and logging their calls onto helpdesk systems. You will be experienced in dealing a variety of IT problems and ensuring that they are resolved to their customer's satisfaction within SLA. You will be experienced in both 1st and 2nd Line desktop support and used to dealing with external 3rd parties. The role also would include diverse project work including new implementations; root cause analysis and technology refresh projects. As your experience grows you will join the on call rota to provide escalated 'Out of Hours' support for any serious issues.

Excellent customer service/ communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with users of all levels as well as 3rd Party Suppliers.
