Our client has a job vacancy for a Youth Offending Officer to work in Central London. This is ! a full time position with an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is £20 - 23 per hour (limited company worker).

Duties -

  • Establishing rapport and build a respectful, honest, challenging and supportive relationship with young people including those who may previously have had little contact with services and may be hard to reach.
  • Undertaking interviews, observe and gather information from young people, families and other agencies and analyse, summarise and evaluate this information to provide a comprehensive assessment of a young person's needs.
  • Ensuring that a young person's and (where appropriate) family's perspectives are elicited, acted upon and recorded at all phases of work and that, wherever possible, any plan reflects the young person's and family's values and preferences.
  • Understanding and respecting the rights of young people and ensure their meaningful participation in their own plans and the wo! rk of the wider community.
  • Assessing and balance risk! , vulnerability and protective factors to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
  • Developing effective relationships with young people and develop support systems that provide effective pathways and access to appropriate services and provision.
  • Carrying out planned interventions, in line with statutory guidance where required, using a range of evidence informed interventions.
Requirements -
All applicants must have recent experience working as a Youth Offending Case Manager.
