For complete informations about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. Cardea Resourcing are looking to appoint a Community Support Assistant. You will be working predominantly with a 43 year old gentleman who lives in his own home in Syston. He has a 24 hour care pac! kage including sleep ins.
The support that you provide will be person centred and tailored to the assessed need of the individual. Duties will include personal care, supporting with day to day living skills, social activities and appointments. This gentleman is fun loving & enjoys interaction with other people. You will provide the service user with encouragement & motivation enabling him to live in his own home.
You will have had experience in working in a care setting or community based service. This is a challenging role, which requires excellent communication skills. This role will require you to work on your own initiative, display a caring and sensitive approach to the service user whilst promoting there independence. A regard for the service users rights promoting choice and respecting dignity and respect at all times is essential.
Occasionally you be required to work with other service users within the Leicester and Leicestershire area i.e. Lou! ghborough, Melton, Countesthorpe, and Narborough. The support ! we provide is dependent on the needs of the service users and may require you to support them with personal care, day to day living activities, social activities & appointments.
The working hours will be 35 hours and will include days, evenings, weekend shifts. You must be available to attend for sleep-ins for which an additional allowance is paid.
It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence and have full use of a vehicle with business insurance.
