Our client is a leading Asset Management Company and they are looking to recruit a Propositions Analyst to work within the Distribution Business team.
The role of Propositions Analyst works within the Distribution business and technology teams to understand proposals help fully define all the requirements from a product, service and technology perspectives.
Our client is looking for someone who has a strong understanding of the funds industry with particular focus on pension products, ISA and Investment Fund products and the nuances of both direct and advise distribution channels.
This role is all about engaging with users to understand, develop, extend and clearly define their business problems, business requirements and when required representing these in concepts. The Propositions Analyst will identify and evaluate process options to address business problems, Identify process requirements for the project and liaise with the rest of technology to develop solutions.
The role works closely with the systems development teams and 3rd party providers to clarify the requirements to ensure that there is no ambiguity in the final systems design specifications and that it fully meets the requirements. An important aspect to the role is assisting in the process of making final recommendations to solve business problems and update documentation accordingly
You will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience and skills
:
A strong knowledge of Retail Distribution of the funds industry with focus on SIPP, ISA and Investment Funds Business analysis experience and a "passion for the detail" Liaising with Customers in the business in a proactive and challenging manner Strong proposition analysis skills with at least five years experience of working in and on a retail platform / distribution environment Strong mathematical and Excel skills in order to be able to build and challenge the financial business cases Demonstrate an understanding of business process / systems requirements and the ability to communicate A strong understanding of external market technology solutions for business problems within the Business Unit
For this role you will need to be able to run workshops and be credible, create professional documentation, and provide the bridge between business and systems. You will need to be skilled in the art of pushing-back as and when required.
For this role you will need to be a self starter / motivator with proven ability to prioritise and organise both your own time and that of a team and a strong desire to make things happen, thinking through issues and seeing things to resolution.
Given the nature of the role you will need to be an excellent communicator and have the proven ability of working with all levels of personnel, including influencing and negotiating, and active participation and contribution with senior management
