Exciting Opportunity to join and become a key member of our team at Ashford Manor Golf Club.
This role provides an tremendous opportunity for an ambitious and committed individual who is looking to progress their career in the green keeping industry.
To work within the team completing routine tasks and projects to maintain the golf course to a high standard as expected by the members and guests of Ashford Manor Golf Club.
We require an experienced Greenkeeper to join the team at Ashford Manor near Staines, as First Assistant. We are a private member 18-hole Golf Club with around 750 members.
You will be involved in the daily presentation of the course, project work and all other aspects of turf maintenance.
Must be able to lead the team in the absence of Course Manager and Deputy.
The ideal candidate will need to possess the following skill set.
- The ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to work as early starts and regular weekend work on a rota is required. (All weekend work is paid as overtime on top of salary)
- Reliable and hardworking with excellent presentation skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude with good time management and communication skills.
- Genuine interest in personal development.
Experience Required:
- 4 years minimum greenkeeping experience. (desirable 6 or more years)
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Amenity Sports turf or equivalent. (desirable)
- PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates. (desirable)
- Chainsaw certificates. (desirable)
- Good golfing knowledge.
