We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Editorial Intern
Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Internship
Responsibilities
- Plan, review, and revise content for publication.
- Read content and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors.
- Rewrite text when necessary to make it easier for targeted readers to understand.
- Write/edit external correspondence.
- Edit and develop, alongside the customer service representative, the organization's social media content.
- Work with writers to help their ideas and stories succeed.
- Work with other team members to make decisions regarding content and give relevant suggestions.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of all manuscripts and contents.
- Work with other team members in creating social media content for the organization and her publications.
- Verify facts cited in materials for publication.
- Develop stories and content ideas according to the publication’s style and editorial policy.
- Any other work related tasks assigned by the management
Qualifications
- Pursuing or completed a Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field is preferred.
- 0 - 2 years of work experience.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in conducting research and fact-checking.
- Knowledge of graphic design and visual content creation is a plus.
- Must reside in Ibadan and environs.
