Our Inverness Mill

Our mill continues to invest in multi-million-pound projects following extensive upgrades over the last 5 years, making us one of the most competitive and largest OSB plants across the globe.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Mechanical Fitter to join our continuous investment site in Inverness.

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, this role will be responsible for providing maintenance and mechanical support throughout the site, ensuring reliability of equipment, maintenance of assets in a safe condition as well as developing and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.

Other duties include:

  • Identify MIP initiatives to supervisor.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements
  • Daily checks of workload at the start of each shift and ensure they are completed as required, signing off on all jobs.
  • Complete all tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Assist through performance the achievement of area goals.
  • Liaison with other departments to ensure safe and efficient running of the plant.

What We Require from You

  • Minimum of City & Guilds / ONC Level of education in a mechanical discipline
  • Manufacturing Experience (Preferable)
  • The candidate must have strong health and safety awareness and the ability to work unsupervised.
