Position: Country Manager - Egypt

Previous experience: Around 20 years business leadership experience with deep local market knowledge with at least 7 years people leadership experience. Successful track record of leading sales teams in selling complex, high value B2B software into one or more of the following industries: food and beverage, discrete, transportation, process, energy, pharma or utilities.

We are searching for an experienced Sales Leader to help us establish a new region. You would need to have a proven track record in leading a sales team, specifically in selling high value, complex B2B Enterprise Software solutions. Ideally within Industrial or Critical Operations domains.

The job

The Country Manager provides leadership in developing local marketing strategies and establish, evaluate, and advance business plan objectives for that market segment to meet growth, profitability, and market position goals.
The Country Manager is responsible for overseeing the relationships and interactions with new and existing customers of the company in a particular geographical area, spanning across several countries. Establishing, maintaining, and expanding customer base, servicing the needs of existing customers and increasing business opportunities through various routes to market.
The Country Manager is also responsible for monitoring team's performance and motivating them to reach targets, collecting customer feedback and market research as well as preparing and submitting reports to senior management and keeping up to date with products and competitors and general market trends.

Duties & Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities include:
  • Lead the Submarket to generate the Annualized Recurring Revenue (ARR) and Revenue growth targets set by management.
  • Responsible for the overall business, Direct and Indirect, within the Submarket.
  • Work closely with various functions such as Presales, Delivery, HR, Legal, Marketing, Support and others to support your Submarket whenever needed.
  • Responsible for the project’s execution in coordination and collaboration with the head of Delivery.
  • Retain existing accounts/develop new ones and expanding solutions utilization by developing long term relationships with Executives and key decision makers.
  • Meet and exceed revenue and order targets supporting the regional business.
  • Prepare, maintain and execute a comprehensive Account Business Plan, which outlines your strategic and tactical approaches for achieving the Submarket targets.
  • Plan and organise all related sales activities starting from prospecting through to closing business in line with the Framework of ONE AVEVA.
  • Comply with AVEVA’s Processes and Policies and other written and verbal communication from the management.
  • Analyse Submarket ongoing performance against the plan to develop monthly reporting including long term account strategies with both current and proposed activities, customer visits, ARR and Revenue forecast.
  • Lead the sales team to maintain and develop the customer pipeline in accordance with the stage gate forecasting protocols and maintain all activity within AVEVA’s CRM solution.
  • Mentor and coach other less experienced team members to develop their selling skills. Champion Sales Enablement activities for specific solution areas partnering with Solution Strategy and Sales Excellence Teams.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Industry knowledge pertinent to the territory (e.g. in one or more industries: Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Metals & Mining, Paper, Life Sciences)
  • In depth knowledge of local organization & market(s) as a basis for sound business decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/business or equivalent in experience
  • Minimum of 20 years of progressive responsibility for sales and business management, with a proven track growth in business growth & development within the dedicated country
  • Minimum of 7 years of people leader experience
  • Excellent market knowledge and industry network
  • Demonstratable business acumen
  • Excellent at developing strong teams and driving accountability.
