The role:
You would have experience implementing solutions with mid-level to enterprise environments either in the cloud or in a traditional data center. Customer-specific challenges will differ from one customer to the next and you should be passionate about resolving them in a manner that addresses the customer's needs. You are eager to learn and keep up to date with modern-day technologies.

For the AWS Consultant role, we would expect you to have:
- Implementing cloud computing solutions.
- Designing, implementing, and enabling cloud migrations.
- Designing AWS cloud-based operations.
- Build a solution for migration and efficient usage of Cloud Computing service.
- Strong customer focus.
- Networking and Internetworking: LAN, WAN routing & switching basics, VPN.
- Move data and networks to a cloud-based environment provided by Amazon.
- Good understanding of Virtualization and Containerization technologies.
- Server Operating Systems: Proficient in deploying and managing Linux or/and Windows systems.
- Scripting – any of the following: Python, Ruby, GoLang, Bash or PowerShell.
- AWS core services, including Compute and Networking, Storage and CDN, Database, Application. Services, Deployment, and Management.
- Solid knowledge of Linux Systems Administration/Engineering.
- Security features that AWS provides and best practices.
- Network technologies as they relate to AWS networking, including DNS and load balancing, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and AWS Direct Connect.
- Scripting skills on both Windows and Linux with Microsoft PowerShell, Bash or other.
- At least five years of IT industry experience.

- Databases – Oracle Databases and Middleware, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Data Warehousing, MongoDB
- Configuration Management tools – Chef, Puppet, Ansible, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Version Control Systems and CI/CD tools – GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, CircleCI
- Identity Providers and Single Sign One tools – Active Directory (AD), AD Federation Service, OKTA, Azure SSO
- Infrastructure as a code (IaC) experience – CloudFormation and/or Terraform
- Industry certifications are an advantage – for example, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified SA/Developer Associate/Professional, CISSP or CISA/CISM certification
- Security & Compliance Engineering and Governance Skills – one or more of the following: security management and control frameworks, ISO 27001, PCI/DSS, SOC1/2/3, Personal Data Protection in Europe, Firewalls, IPsec, Penetration Testing, DDoS Protection, Application vulnerability assessment and protection, anti-virus/anti-spam, Identity and Access Management, Cryptography
