Travel Operations Specialist [Greece]


 

Curated Greece is seeking a friendly and dedicated Travel Operations Specialist to join our enthousiastic team! As our ideal candidate, you will oversee and manage various travel operations including itinerary bookings, and logistics. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders, including the company's travel curators and of course our partners, to ensure the seamless execution of our clients' travel plans. Your deep understanding of the industry and attention to detail will enable you to provide exceptional service that our clients have come to expect from Curated Greece. This is not a customer facing position.


Responsibilities include monitoring daily operations but are not limited to:

  • Communicating with all suppliers, from top hotels to tour and transfer providers all over Greece
  • Ensuring an excellent client experience through backend operational support
  • Placing reservations & updating itineraries with reservation details
  • Monitoring daily operational status of trips and related services, payments, reservations
  • Contacting suppliers for any changes to client itineraries
  • Reconfirming and crosschecking with suppliers about existing bookings
  • Making sure that client trips run smoothly from A to Z
  • Working closely and in coordination with the travel sales team
  • Maintaining company supplier databases

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in travel operations, travel management, or similar field will be preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great attention to detail, high accuracy, strong logic and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and work collaboratively with internal and external partners and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English and Greek (ideally bilingual).
  • Deep understanding of excellent customer service and experience for luxury travel and how this reflects on the operational side of trip.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about Greece as a destination, the travel industry and unique experiences.
  • Knowledge and previous experience with any travel software and CRM will be appreciated.
  • Self-motivated and autonomous with entrepreneurial spirit but also a team player.
  • Basic understanding of the economics of luxury travel business.
  • Open to learn new skills and completing diverse tasks in additional to the ones mentioned above
