As a member of the Circular Economy Solutions (CES) Product Management team, you will focus on applications made from recyclates. You will collaborate closely with different stakeholders within Borealis, like marketing, sales, labs, production as well as our plastics recycling companies mtm and Ecoplast, plus tollers.
Key responsibilities of your role will be to:
- Translate customer and application needs into product and process specifications
- Manage and optimize your product portfolio including costs, performance, quality, legal compliance, etc.
- Propose and evaluate development ideas and contribute to development- & investment-project pre-studies
- Provide technical expertise and support internally in projects across Borealis e.g. CES related growth projects, including audits and trainings
- Help solving complex customer problems and product claims
- Provide expert technical advice to Borealis CES customers
- Support value creation by seeking new business opportunities for existing products, and position the (technical) added value of these new opportunities both externally and internally
- Support technical innovation and actively contribute to entire innovation process from needs identification to implementation
- Collaboration in cross functional teams together with colleagues in the areas of customer support, production, sales or marketing
About you
You hold a university degree (Master or PhD) or similar in polymer processing, polymer engineering, polymer technology or similar. You already have some years of professional experience in a field that relates to this role and polymers / compounding. This could be in product management, application development, field technical service or similar. Of course, any experience with recyclates or along the Circular Economy value chain in general is a bonus. To be able to communicate effectively with production, German skills are beneficial.
You are a strong team player with a positive and outcome-oriented mind-set. You are able to mobilize people to get things done. Both internal and external stakeholders can rely on your best efforts and your finesse, combined with good communication skills, when dealing with different interests and expectations.

We offer competitive salary, reflecting your experiences, skills and competencies. The total package will depend on the country / location of employment!
In Austria and following Austrian law regulations, we offer competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement chemical industry starting at EUR 73.112,90 annual gross salary (based on 38 hrs/week) and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan.
