As a B&Q Deputy Manager you’ll provide leadership to create an environment where our people and our business thrive. As part of the senior leadership team you’ll be responsible for developing our talented store team, creating an inspirational environment for our customers to shop in and ensuring the store is set up to trade effectively and deliver long term profitable sales growth.
You’ll lead the areas of Front End, Warehouse and Replenishment and also deputise for the Store Manager in their abs! ence. As a passionate advocate for customer experience you’l! l be relentless about delivering the retail basics as well as a world class customer service through effective deployment and engagement of store colleagues and the delivery of operational processes and stock handling.
The key accountabilities of this role include maximising store profitability through:
Creating an inspirational environment for our customers and ensuring they all have positive shopping experiences and find everything that they came in for.
Building relationships with customers and the community to help others bring to life our belief of BetterHomes, Better Lives
Leading the store team through coaching and managing for performance including identifying and growing talent within the store team.
Ensuring the store is set up to deliver basic standards, is safe to trade and audit compliant
To be successful in the role you’ll need

Ideally you’ll have recent experience working as part of a senior management team in a fast paced retail environment.
