SOCIAL INCLUSION COORDINATOR TEMPORARY POSITION UNTIL MARCH 2014
COVERING DONNYBROOK COURT, 319 OLD FORD ROAD, BOW AND DUNCAN COURT, 88 TEVIOT STREET, POPLAR, LONDON £7.81 PER HOUR
37.5 HOURS PER WEEK - ROTA BASED INCLUDING EARLY, LATE EVENING AND WEEKEND SHIFTS ACCORDING TO BUSINESS NEEDS
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Social Inclusion Coordinator to work at our Extra Care schemes. You will facilitate the provision of quality social activities, events and opportunities to prevent social isolation and in line with customer and organisational needs.
Working both independently and as part of a team you will develop a wide choice of innovative and engaging activities as well as organising fundraising events and social outings. You will also co-ordinate volunteers and Care and Support Workers who help with social inclusion, while maint! aining good relationships with service users, family / carers ! and other advocates. Holding an NVQ / QCF Level 2 in Health and Social care or similar, or with our support willing to work towards this, you will involve service users in decisions and ensure that activities adhere to the relevant health and safety legislation.
Our schemes in Bow and Poplar, London provide extra care housing for older people and people with physical disabilities. In this varied and interesting role, you will be joining an experienced team who provide the very best care and support to our tenants.
