My client; a very large Cold Storage and Distribution company are looking to take on a Line Manager / Team Leader to increase efficiency while ma! intaining KPIs and HSE practises.
What they are looking for someone to :
Oversee line management of warehouse operative and disciplines while still assisting in other areas of the depot.
Train, retrain and motivate new and current staff in line with the team work ethics, and a management culture that uses two way feedback regularly between all levels.
Communicate and liaise with managers and service providers to escalate issues where required.
Contribute towards the improvement of processes and methods of practises.
Proactively motivate your teams to ensure targets and deadlines are clearly understood and are being achieved and act as an immediate point of reference for problems.
Plan and control daily and weekly labour and equipment requirements to achieve budgeted performance, priorities and deadlines. Identify any problems which occur during the shift and react accordingly.
Monitor performances, time keeping and overtime, as we! ll as own performance against plan and be able to justify unde! r performance or over spend against budget.
Responsible for Health and Safety Issues in accordance with Company policies.
Ensure hygiene levels of operational areas and staff are to the required standard at all times.
Your responsibilities will include :
Ensure security/search procedures are correctly implemented to ensure the integrity of our customers and our own property.
Monitor sickness, absence levels and timekeeping with the Accounts Department through return to work interviews and counseling and carry out the appropriate action in line with company policy.
Complete weekly/monthly statistic reports, ensuring all MHE servicing and maintenance is up to date.
Maintain a level of disciplinary action that is fair, consistent and compliant with the Policy laid down in the Terms and Conditions of Employment. Resolve queries quickly and efficiently within the proscribed timescale.
Undertake and delegate project work as dictated fro! m time to time by senior management.
Attend any relevant training sessions to ensure you are fully equipped to perform your duties effectively and attend management meetings as required.
Undertake any other duties which can be reasonably asked of a Team Leader as required by the operation.
Responsible for the taking and recording of temperature of all in bound and out bound deliveries.
You are responsible for adhering to food hygiene relevant to your role and adhering to the HACCP plan for the depot
