The Sky Engineer apprentices will be responsible for installing & servicing satellite, telephony and broadband systems in our customersâ home! s. They must ensure they offer a great service in the process and perform to a consistent high standard to please the customer.
Your main responsibilities include:
Offering a high level of customer satisfaction to wow each customer
Working effectively as an individual whilst playing their part in the team
Keen to learn new skills whilst enhancing existing capabilities
Developing and maintaining strong relationships and effective communication with colleagues within the team and wider Sky estate
Being a Sky Ambassador in this role: acting as a role model to colleagues in terms of delivering the customer experience and the Sky Values and Sky Behaviours
Offering a high & constant level of performance to enhance the customer experience
Working effectively to achieve challenging targets through identifying trends and continuously improving processes and ways of working
Working safely and ad! hering to Health & Safety standards
Displaying and de! monstrating in-depth knowledge of products and services.
Skills required:
Good team player
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build rapport easily
Ability to think logically and problem solve whilst under pressure
Full UK Driving Licence (with 6 points or less) & Excellent driving skills.
Great attention to detail.
Qualifications required:
GCSE English and Maths required grades A-C or equivalent

The candidate will take on a fully structured apprenticeship programme. This will involve assessor and workplace visits, off the job training (at least once a month) and development on the job through mentoring and coaching.
The Apprenticeship will consist of the following elements:
NVQ â" The candidate will be assessed every 4 weeks on their skills and competencies of the job role
Technical Certificate â" This will consist of a number of workshops teaching the candidate the under-pinning knowledge of the qualification
Functional Skills â" This requires candidates to ob! tain a minimum skills level in Application of Number, Communication and! IT through guidance and examination. Those candidates with GCSEs in these subjects will be exempt
ERR Booklet â" Employment Rights and Responsibilities booklet which candidates are required to complete.
