A UK-wide provider of employability and skills services is seeking an Employability Case Manager to be based in Tower Hamlets.
You will be joining a team! who deliver a “next generation†rehabilitation service to low-risk offenders who have been released, or are due to be released, from short custodial sentences and require support to move towards employment and training to significantly reduce their risks of re-offending.
You will manage a ‘caseload’ of approximately 60-70 ex-offenders. Your customers will have decided to voluntarily attend the specialist support that can be provided by you and your colleagues and you will work 4 days per week at the Tower Hamlets Probation Centre. Your customers will have been referred to you by probation officers and you will meet with them to determine the best course of action moving forward. This could be referral to specialist employability training and/or advice and guidance from you on a one-to-one basis. The initial aim is to secure them some employment experience when they are ready to do so, be it as a work placement, voluntary work or an apprentice.
You will be t! he focal point for helping them to overcome the barriers they ! face and getting their journey towards employment underway. To achieve this you must be adept at engaging with your customers and demonstrating that the support and assistance you and your colleagues provide will make a real difference to their lives. This will include focussing on the smaller and larger goals and the steps needed in order to help get them to where they want to be.
To interview for this role you must have experience within business to business sales or recruitment. A friendly and cooperative approach will also be required to maintain good working relationships with the probation officers who you will work closely with.
