Our client, a leading producer of paper products, seeks a dynamic leader to manage operational activities supporting its award winning product lines. For several decades these well-known products have provid! ed solutions to commercial, industrial and retail customers globally. Current demand is supporting considerable expansion through its multiple facilities throughout the U.S. This manufacturer is looking for an engineering leader to head day-to-day manufacturing processes and related control systems at its high performance operation located in Alabama. This individual will become the central information leader on production line mechanical processes. Equal importance in the role will be centered on the development of process control standards and settings along with associated training programs to develop machine operator success. To support these activities this leader will serve as the subject matter expert on machine usuage. Additionally this individual will participate and / or lead Continuous Improvement projects identified to improve production, safety, waste and quality performance. Other duties will include day-to-day training and technical support to technicians on ! machine operation best practices. Special duties will include ! collaboration with facility leadership and other members of the Engineering Team to execute process involvement initiatives and formulate standardized control system procedures. To qualify for this exciting opportunity you must posses 2 years successful experience focused on engineering processes from the manufacturing side. Additionally you must posses a working knowledge of statistics as it relates to manufacturing process controls. Ability to identify, follow through and document results on issues relating to machine performance is highly valued in this role. A proven history of successful leadership in the design and execution of multiple engineering projects, manufacturing equipment processes, project management, continuous improvements, or quality systems within in a self directed work team environment will give you a big advantage. Successful track record of execution on engineering projects within a personal care, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, paper or related co! nsumer product manufacturing operation, although not required, will set you apart. Computer experience including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel are essential to this role. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or other related engineering discipline is required First year earnings will be highly competitive but based on successful experience, leadership and problem solving skills established within a manufacturing environment.
