We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Operations Manager - Logistics who will be responsible for the busiest Transport Operation within the Gist business.
The role will require having direct customer interaction with retailers such as M&S, Morrisons and Waitrose, whilst acting as a touch point for Gist Europe with the Dutch Flower Group (Green Partners, Intergreen and JZ).
The postholder will have to ensure a smooth and efficient customer service, whilst also managing the cost base and achieving the targeted KPI's.
About You
This role is a key position within the Eastern Region, and as a result it is very important to us that the successful person shares our people focused philosophy and can demonstrate strong management capabilities.
You will be responsible for 5 Team Managers, associated administration staff and ! 200 drivers. Therefore, we are looking to recruit a driven ind! ividual that can develop a high performance team whose focus is ensuring the key metrics of safety, cost and customer satisfaction are achieved.
Due to the scale and fast paced nature of the role, a flexible approach towards working hours to suit the needs of the business is essential, especially during our peak periods.
