The Steel Construction Certification Scheme (SCCS) is the Certification Body specifically for companies engaged in the design, manufacture and installation of structural steelwork and its associat! ed products and services. SCCS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the British Constructional Steelwork Association Ltd (BCSA).
The Opportunity:
The introduction of new standards and growing demand for certification services makes this role an exciting opportunity for an experienced audit team leader. In this role you will be responsible for managing and growing the Scheme, and implementing the Board's strategic vision. You will liaise with existing and new clients, and oversee the programming and co-ordination of audit plans and resources. You will be responsible for the Scheme's ongoing UKAS accreditation, as well as leading a team of external auditors. The position is based at BCSA's Doncaster office.
Your Credentials:
The successful candidate will be an IRCA registered lead auditor, with demonstrated management experience. You will have an understanding of how certification schemes are run and developed, knowledge of UKAS procedures, ! and a working knowledge of ISO-17021, ISO-9001, ISO-14001, OHS! AS-18001, and EN-1090-1. You will be experienced in financial management, and have excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills. Some knowledge of the design, fabrication, painting and erection of structural steelwork is desirable
