We’re looking for someone to work with us to protect public health, look after our environment and promote good dog welfare. Does that sound like you?

We have an opportunity for someone to work alongside our existing dog warden carrying out a wide range of activities. From issuing fines for dog fouling to re-uniting pets with their owners, this is a varied and rewarding job. Whilst it’s based in Weymouth, the successful person will be travelling around Weymouth, Portland and West Dorset when working carrying out patrol work and investigating dog related complaints as well as providing advice and information to owners.

We’re looking for someone who has an outgoing approach who will champion dog welfare issues in the community but who will also be an effective enforcement officer when the situation requires it.

We’ll provide training where necessary and we’re looking for someone who can get up a! nd running quickly.

Working hours will be agreed loca! lly in advance and will typically involve 12 days/month May to September and 10 days/month October to April with up to 5 days/month weekend work required as part of those hours.
