£24,500 per annum
Our client provides 4,500 high quality homes and services in Greater Manchester, they are committed to making a difference in neighbourhoods for the long term.
They are expanding their repairs and maintenance team to deliver all areas of the service in-house. As a result, they are currently looking for an experienced Joiner to join their Direct Labour Service (DLS). The key responsibility of this role will be to provide a comprehensive joinery service to domestic properties in accordance with the relevant safety regulations and departmental procedures.
Within this role, you will be responsible for the repair, renew and fit of roofing, ceilings, floors, doors and kitchen units. You will repair and renew timber and UPVC window frames and deglaze as instructed. You will handle any transport materials in a safe working manner and will look after tools, materials and equipment, guarding against loss and making them available for use when required.
The successful candidate will be an experienced joiner and in addition will have previous experience of maintenance work on domestic properties for general repairs and refurbishments. With relevant trade qualifications, you will have a recognised apprenticeship and be competent in all aspects of joinery. You must be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and maintain good customer relationships. Flexible in your approach, you must also be able to attend out of hour’s service and be experienced working in multi-trades.
Due to the nature of this position, a satisfactory enhanced CRB disclosure is required. The successful applicant will also need a fullUKdriving license and possess a full well maintained tool kit at all times.
