Poultry Worker required in Woodhall Spa
3-5 days a week, Mon -Fri, hours approximately 9am-1pm
Some flexibility for time off during school holidays
Pay: minimum wage
Main Duties
- Ensure maximum biosecurity
- Collect, sort & stack eggs (including floor eggs) calculate & record data
- To keep accurate daily records, identify & report changes
- Regular welfare checks, walking among chickens to ensure that birds have access to fresh water & food, that they are free from injury or disease
- Site maintenance including keeping high hygiene standards & doing range checks
- Reporting any concerns to the site manager
Although part of a small team, the role will involve working independently so you will need to be motivated and able to complete tasks to a high standard. The work can be physically demanding and will require someone who works with care and attention to detail.
No prior knowledge is required and training will be given to the right candidate.
