Core Responsibilities

  • Accountable for technical development and improvement of new colouring materials and effects to accommodate business needs.
  • Maintain and improve technical supplier relations by frequent touch points in the development of new and/or sustainable material grades.
  • Qualify colouring materials and effects to meet regulatory, sustainability and LEGO requirements, assure and optimise quality.
  • Assist senior specialists in setting technical requirements in close collaboration with partners in Production, Procurement, Product Development, and external suppliers.
  • Perform data analysis and create material insights to be applied in an end-to-end context.
  • Manage and coordinate test plans, documentation, and supplier communication across the Materials Department.
  • Support colleagues on projects and deliverables.

You will be a part of a team responsible for materials for moulded elements, in the Material Department handling polymers, colours and inks. The aim of the department is to maintain a safe, high quality and sustainable material platform for the LEGO products to enable business needs and empower the organisation to use materials to its full potential.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate brings strong collaboration skills and the ability to create an impact in a diverse context across many different functional areas and profiles. You thrive in team with high energy, enjoy learning as a process and have:

  • Degree in Polymers, Materials, Chemistry or Process engineering or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience within Colour/plastics/composites/paint industry or equivalent industry.
  • Experience with colour measurements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
