Job Advert Summary
We are looking for a qualified electrician with a trade test/red seal certificate to join our Agri team, the suitable candidate will be leading a small team of maintenance reporting to the Hatchery Manager. The ideal candidate will be required to work some weekends and public holidays.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade: 12
- Trade test/red seal certificate
- Experience in electrical work.
- Experience in poultry is an advantage.
- Valid Driver's License and own transport.
- Possess strong electrical knowledge and abilities.
- Familiarity management principles and job card system.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring or fixtures.
- Monitor and check setters and hatchers for proper operations.
- Monitor and check ventilation (Heaters, coolers and rooms condition)
- Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on hatchery equipment.
- Prompt repair of machinery in the hatchery that could negatively affect production.
- Attends to all electrical faults on hatchery setter and incubator machines.
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring.
- Diagnose malfunctioning system. apparatus and components using test equipment and hand/power tools.
- Inspect electrical system, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and for adjustment or repair and ensure compliance.
- Conducting maintenance stock take of spares and ensuring there is enough stock at hand.
- All work carried out should be in compliance with both bio-security and Health & Safety standards.
