Pay Rate: $21.41 per hour
($17.00 base + $4.41 H/W)
General Function
Responsible for keeping the Mt. Elbert Pumped-Storage Powerplant clean for use and providing a
neat indoor and outdoor appearance to customers who enter the buildings.
Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)
1. Empty all trash receptacles and waste baskets into refuse containers.
2. Wash trash receptacles and waste baskets inside and out as needed.
3. Clean all mirrors, frames, ledges, and partitions.
4. Clean, remove stains, and disinfect all surfaces of washbasins, dispensers, toilers, urinals, and
drinking fountains.
5. Clean and disinfect toilet bowl seats on both sides.
6. Clean and refill all dispensers in restrooms.
7. Maintain an ample supply of towels, soap, and toilet tissues at all times in the restroom.
8. Clean restroom walls, enclosures, woodwork, and all floor surfaces. Maintain these areas free
of soil marks, stains, and spills.
9. Clean the lunch, kitchen area, and control room, including tabletops, microwaves, chairs,
floors, sinks, and counter tops.
10. Vacuum entrance rugs.
11. Keep the outside trashcans and surrounding areas neat and orderly.
12. Keep the main entrance to the building clean.
13. Inspect and maintain all floors and glass.
14. Keep steps and sidewalks free of trash and dirt.
15. Clean interior of elevators floor, wall and door.
16. Clean and dust all office rooms including cleaning and dusting all desktops, table tops, chairs,
floors, fixtures, copiers, printers, bookcases, file cabinets, print files, and Venetian blinds.
17. Remove soil marks around light switches, doors, doorknobs/handles, door frames, and marks
from the walls and floors.
18. Vacuum all carpeted areas as identified.
19. Clean, dust mop, and buff shine all floor spaces identified as tile and/or ceramic tile floors.
20. Clean and dust mop all floors spaces identified as concrete floors.
21. Wet mop all restroom floors using a disinfectant.
22. Sweep all entrances to the building.
23. Clean floors and counter tops in the laundry room on floor 5 next to sewer vaults.
24. Sweep stairwell from floor 1 to 10. Remove any dirt and debris.
11. Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Work Schedule may vary; position requires flexibility with schedule and days off.
- Ability to lift-up to 30 lbs as necessary.
- Must be responsible for attendance, punctuality, and consistent work performance during
scheduled work times.
- Employees will be exposed to various types of cleaning machinery and must be able to
meet all physical requirements.
- Must be a responsible individual who is willing and able to follow direction and work
with minimal supervision.
- Other Details: Professional office/work and laboratory atmosphere. Employee will be
required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull.
- Personal Identity Verification (PIV): obtain PIV card prior to starting work.
- Drug Screen and Background Check: pass with ability to maintain throughout
employment.
Minimum Experience
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum 2 years of janitorial/cleaning/related work experience.
- Computer Skills: Basic.

- SysCom, Inc. staff, executives and management.
- Serves as liaison between department and other departments as well as with outside
customers, regulatory personnel, and organizations, etc.
