Our client, a public sector organisation in Gloucester are currently looking to recruit two category managers on an interim basis. These are exciting opportunities to help shape and develop a new Commercial Service where the Category Managers will cover important portfolios and help provide additional support to clients who are keen to access the new service.

As well as bringing professional expertise, category management experience, successful candidates will be expected to share and develop skills, knowledge and processes in the new team and to actively mentor others.
Key Skills/Experience
- Worked in procurement or commissioning environment.
- Delivered change and cost savings in a complex organisation in the public or private sector
- Worked with limited direct supervision and be able to balance short medium and long term priorities.
- Used analytically techniques to turn data and information into actions that improve value for money.
- Evaluated the makeup of cost and used cost reduction techniques to improve value for money.
- Built and maintained productive relationships, including those with key stakeholders and external organisations.
- Worked independently or with others to deliver discreet projects. Graduate degree or commercial experience equivalent.
- CIPS level 6 or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
