Senior Driver: Our client is a leading independent laundry service company and they are recruiting for a Senior Driver to be based within their site at Banbury, Oxfordshire.
Please note: You must have a LGV (Class 2) driving licence to be considered for this role.
As Senior Driver, the successful candidate would be expected to provide cover for routes as required, provide daily support for the Transport Team Leader and fully deputise ! for the Transport Team Leader in their absence. Reporting and ! working closely with the site Transport Team Leader, the successful candidate will be involved with the day to day operation of the transport team on site when providing such cover.
You will work closely with both the production team and drivers on site, to deliver an excellent service to our customers. You will also be required to ensure that the team focuses on the necessary KPI’s and that vehicle checks and driver debriefs are carried out on a daily basis. You will need to take corrective action when non conformities to agreed standards arise.
Hours
This role will be required to work on a 6 on 2 off rota, 48 hours per week.
Skills and Experience:
For this role of Senior Driver we are looking for the following skills:
Essential
- LGV (Class 2) driving licence
- A Digital Tachograph Card with at least 21 hours towards a Driver CPC qualification
- A good working knowledge of transport legislation,! routing and scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Computer literate
- Some previous people management and/or supervisory experience
