Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a permanent Financial Controller position for an established fiduciary services organisation based in Manchester.
The role:
Leading a finance function in the production of management information, this critical position will be responsible for ensuring statutory requirements are met.

The key accountabilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts, annual accounts, cost and profit analysis, commercial modelling and group consolidation.
• Full quarterly and annual forecasting models by product and division with budgetary management and reporting.
• Reviewing and improving the use of current ERP and accounting systems, identifying accounts and areas of the business that require special attention.
• Obtain sufficient information to assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
• Liaising with external advisors, auditors and banks, as well as reporting to the Board and presenting to senior management on a monthly basis in regards to the performance, position and co! mmercial recommendations of the division and products.
Implementing companywide, proactive, best practice processes and procedures, which will allow the senior team to grow the business effectively and with clear visibility.

The person

The successful applicant will a CCAB qualified (or equivalent) finance professional, who is technically strong with a keen commercial mind. The candidate will be ambitions and able to analyse the activities of a business and identify improvements on current practices and business models. The successful candidate will posses the ability to build strong relationships with the management team as well as overseas counterparts. This role would suit a candidate who can confidently manage a fast paced accounting function unassisted and has substantial proven experience in a similar role.
