The! company is a world leading national civil engineering and build company and are seeking a Section/Project Manager.With a history of over 90 years and recently achieving a turnover of over £1 billion, they hold a strong market position.
They are looking to expand their civils based production team in Nottingham after being extremely successful in winning a number of rail and tunnelling projects which includes the high profile rail Schemes, so they are looking for a Section Manager. They have rail schemes that have already began, and schemes that will be starting over the next few months of which value between £80m and £350m. The Section Manager will initially be based on a very prestigious project in the Nottingham area.
SECTION MANAGER/PROJECT MANAGER MAIN CONTRACTOR CENTRAL LONDON FIT OUT/ENABLING WORKS 55,000 + PACKAGE
- A project manager or section manager
- 2 years experience managing a project or section
- Have fit ou! t/construction experience
- Will have worked with a lar! ge UK main contractor
- Experience in a rail environment is an advantage
Includes the supervision and management of office and site based resources including some direct labour, plant and materials and subcontractors, focusing on compliance with Method Statements (SMOWs) and meeting safety, quality and environmental standards and delivery to time and budget. Specific Responsibilities Head up the Fit Out and Station Enabling works team providing strong, visible proactive leadership which will include but not be limited to attendance at morning briefings, delivery of safety breakfasts, chairing team meetings, presenting at quarterly project team briefings, undertaking p1 to 1s with key reports and ensuring reviews and appraisal of the team undertaken and their development whilst on the project is planned and supported. Duties identified in the CPP and PEP plans Monitor performance against project objectives on site Portraying a positive ima! ge of TWBN to the client Direct management of site team and subcontractors during project delivery on site Attendance at Safety Meetings and at forums with subcontractors and the workforce Controlling and supervising construction activities on site. Ensure that direct reports are aware of the Project requirements (LU Contract and TWBN Procedural) particularly H&S, environmental and stakeholder. Ensuring that sub-contractors work in a safe manner with regard to their own employees, other site staff and members of the public Overseeing and checking the quality work of direct labour and sub-contractors ensuring that it complies with approved plans, method statements (SMOWs and Task Briefings) and testing (ITPs). Maintaining accurate records of the plant, labour and materials used in the construction of the works.
