We are looking for a Communications Advisor to join our Clean Energy Europe Communications Team, based at our office in Knutsford.

The Clean Energy Europe Communications ! Team is a small team, which is responsible for both the internal and external communications on behalf of the Clean Energy operating Unit. Within this role you will be responsible for driving employee engagement by providing clear and consistent messages, ensuring all employees understand AMEC’s strategy and their role in delivering it. You will promote and safeguard the reputation of AMEC’s Clean Energy business and develop external marketing materials and campaigns on behalf of Clean Energy.

Key Responsibilities

·

Develop an understanding and awareness of the communications needs within Clean Energy Europe, and, in particular, the Nuclear Generation and Defence team.

·

To manage and develop internal communication channels to inform and engage employees across the organisation with a focus on development of two way communications. Work with colleagues to develop greater employee engagement opportunities.

Build on existing networks and develop where required inter! nal communications contacts throughout the business to ensure two-way communications.

·

Deliver regular communications for all staff through a range of channels, ensuring ease of access to communications, clarity and consistency of messages, including Newsletters, Intranet, briefing material and events

·

Act as a source of communications and engagement expertise, refreshing this through appropriate education, training and development so that the organization always has access to the most effective tools and techniques.

·

Research and review Clean Energy’s work and capabilities regularly in order to identify possible stories, then undertake proactive communications, including writing press releases and feature pieces.

·

Ensure that Clean Energy’s contribution to AMEC.com is developed and improved by posting articles, project profiles and expert profiles, overseeing all website copy to ensure qual! ity.

·

Develop new and creative communication streams, including podcasts, social media networks and videos.

Person Profile

·

A communications all-rounder with the ability to take complex information and create clear copy relevant to the audience, with significant, successful experience of writing a wide variety of materials

·

Up to date knowledge of communications channels and understanding of the communications and marketing mix

·

Experience of communications planning and creating an annual communications plan

·

Event management experience

·

Exceptional written communications skills, with ability to adapt style to suit different communications media and audiences

·

Achieved and maintained compliance with corporate branding policies and guidelines

·

Contributed to the creation and enhancement of a strong employer b! rand

·

Ensured that all related activities are compl! iant with health, safety and environmental awareness policies

·

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, and willingness to 'pitch in' as required in a small team

·

Educated to degree level or equivalent

·

Interest in the energy sector

Must be flexible and happy to travel within UK.
