2. About the role:
The role of the Applications Systems Support Analyst is the effective management of applications and those suppliers supporting the applications, from initial transition into production throughout their life to decommissioning. This is to ensure agreed service levels are met, to enable the realisation of expected benefits and value by the business.
Specifically this includes:
- Responsible for the service management of applications as assigned by Head of Business Systems
- Ensuring that the applications/service are delivered according to agreed service levels
- Assessment and co-ordination of any identified or complex issues and recommendation for remedial action
- Monthly analyses and reporting of t! he application/service performance
- Acting as a point ! of escalation for any application/service issues
- Degree in IT or relevant discipline
- Proven experience of documenting and analysing applications and solutions
- Demonstrable experience in software development and operational application management
- Certified ITIL Foundation course
