The Birmingham Marriott Hotel is looking to recruit a part time time Linen Porter to o versee and manage all linen, storage and returns / deliveries for the hotel. This position will be offered on a part time permanent basis. Working hours will be no less than 24 per week.

Requirements

Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)

Pro-active and reliable

Able to work alone and within a team

Flexible hours in line with business needs
High cleanliness standards & excellent attention to detail
Good level of English essential

Previous experience within a similar style of operation preferred but ! not essential

Responsibilities

Control and p! ackaging of all soiled linen.
Receiving and counting of clean linen to and from the laundry to ensure effective stock control.
Control and distribution of linen to and from all floors, restaurant etc.
Keeping and controlling good linen stock.
To ensure records/invoices are kept and maintained
To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance, ensuring that the correct uniform is worn at all times.
To ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum and that all cleaning agents are used as per specification.
To collect all soiled laundry from Housekeeping and corridors
To collect all guest laundry and receive delivery on return. All paperwork goes to Housekeeping Office daily.
To have a good knowledge of hotel facilities, amenities and opening times.
To report any lost property items found to the Housekeeper immediately.
To observe the company rules and regulations.
To sweep and mop out linen room at the end of the day.
