You will be responsible for the delivery of qualitative administrative support for recruitment vacancies by producing and delivering timely, accurate and effective documentation in order to deliver the Universityâs recruitment requirements.
You will work closely with University colleagues, taking responsibility for recruitment lifecycle administration which includes key areas such as:- supporting the finalising of adverts and publishing of adverts; printing off, logging and compiling applications; generating shortlisting sheets for circulation to recruiting managers; producing and distributing interview panel packs; supporting interview panels; generating and distributing contracts of employment; recording, maintaining and updating the relevant HR electronic or manual systems; and dealing with general recruitment queries including that relating to visiting contracts.
You will provide robust administrative support to the HR Advisors, recruiting managers and related stakeholders to ensure that the recruitment, selection, induction and retention of staff to the University are of the highest standard; in line with best practice; and within University policy and guidelines.
You will support the maintenance, updating, management and develop of the HR MI systems in a timely manner to ensure that data is accurate and up to date.
Your role will include receiving and responding to queries; using established processes and your own judgment to resolve them. The ideal candidate will be capable of working and contributing to effective team working and developing a good working knowledge of systems and processes to proactively facilitate improvements and identify solutions to obtain efficiencies, whenever feasible.
This role is available for someone who can start immediately. Although based in Luton, occasional travel may be required to the other locations across Bedfordshire.
We are looking for someone who has excellent attention to detail and precision with outputs; a degree or equivalent and / or a relevant HR qualification; excellent written and verbal communication and customers service skills; has had previous experience of working within an office environment carrying out administrative type work; is able to plan and organise their workload effectively; and has excellent IT skills. Experience of working within higher education or the public sector would be ideal.
