"MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Enable, plan, lead, organise, monitor and control projects to successful completion ensuring communication channels are clearly established and used. Enable business areas to achieve their business targets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THIS JOB:

• Experience of PRINCE 2 Methodology â€" Practitioner certification advantageous.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodology and tools.
• Define and agree the detailed project scope.
• Plan and monitor projects for completion within agreed budget, resource levels and timescales, but without compromise to the quality of the deliverables or breach of standards, statutory or regulatory requirements.
• Identify all lessons learned from the programme/project for the benefit of future developments.
• Establish and manage project/programme structure, and agree roles and responsibilities with team members (settin! g clear goals and providing training/coaching where necessary)! .
• Lead, manage, motivate, co-ordinate and inspire employees at all levels involved.
• Hold regular project/programme board and sponsor meetings to manage progress, drive out and escalate issues and ensure clear direction.
• Agree content, control and ongoing management of contracts with external suppliers.
• Manage budgets. Ensure ongoing support costs are incorporated into department budgets.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members, client and business customers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE SPECIFIC TO THIS JOB

• Solid commerical Project management experience.
• APM Practitioner / Prince 2 Practitioner certified desirable
• In depth knowledge of relevant technology systems, software and planning tools, and relevant business areas.
• Understand, accommodate and blend the differing needs of multi-disciplined teams consisting of internal and external resources e.g. T! hird-party suppliers, remote staff, contractors and other financial institutions.
• Leadership and management skills appropriate for a complex technical delivery.
• An excellent communicator with networking skills and who is able to interpret and present technical information into business language.

COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to Unisys.
• Business Area Heads of Departments, Senior Executives/ Tech Infrastructure,
• Tech Business Services, BIT teams, PD&M, BCM, P&D, Finance, Architecture & other Tech Dev BSG’s to align people to project objectives and goals.
