Job Position: Principal Business Development Manager

Job Status: Permanent

Job Profile:
You will partner with the senior management team in delivering new business.

Your main task will be to create a roadmap that supports the need to enhance the customer journey and to inspire innovation.

Working alongside existing business development managers, to identify new business opportunities within the UK and Internationally, you will maintain relationships with current and new customers, developing and implementing new business.

You will be responsible for identifying new customers and markets and then promoting the business into these.

You will be responsible for the commercial aspect of sales.

You will be managing a team of 9 to 10 Business Development Managers.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Please note that these a! re essential skills and experience as candidates who do not fu! lfil all of the criteria will not be considered.

You must be commercially focussed and your CV should show where this commercial focus has been put in to practise. Your CV should reflect on targets that have been set in your career and then achieved.

You will be an experienced Manager who shows in their CV where they have managed a large team and directed them in a clear and concise way.

You will be expected to achieve new business, so previous experience of these skills needs to be demonstrated on your CV.

You will be required to identify new markets and then plan ways of breaking into them. Your CV should reflect these skills.

You will have both a sales and marketing background.

You will have gained your experience in an Automotive engineering environment and have a good understanding of engineering principles.

You will have worked in a role that is client facing and involves the explanation of engineering ser! vices to the end customer.

You will have managed a team of Sales or Business Development managers and be able to co-ordinate a team.

You will have experience of managing business growth in accordance with Company strategy and have a proven track record of securing international business.

You will currently be working in a business development role and will have experience of operating collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

You will need to be a confident, credible communicator able to inspire and lead from the front and have a can-do attitude.

You will be degree educated.

You will need to possess strong analytical skills, good judgment and be agile in decision making.

You must have good project and time management skills.

Basic Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary/Rate: Between £55,000 and £70,000 per annum depending on previous experience.
