The post holder will also link up with the Addactio! n Research and Development Agenda through the Medical Director.
The successful candidate will manage, lead and develop a research and enterprise agenda in addictions and the family, offering through The University of Northampton together with Addaction a recognized hub for the development of expertise and excellence in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approaches to the addictions and the family.
The successful candidate will have research and practice interests that cover a wide range of issues with a particular focus on the impact of addictions on family members, especially children, young adults and carers. Additionally, the post holder will have demonstrable strengths in broader, but related research, practice and policy interests that connect to addictions, public health and criminal behaviour. We require an expert in his or her field that can influence national policy to create socially innovative solutions to addictions.
The successful ca! ndidate will be joining a socially entrepreneurial university ! which has social enterprise at the centre of its strategy for transformation, community engagement and survival. The strategic themes of the social enterprise strategy are in line with the changing public sector focus on:
Health and Wellbeing;
Integrated Criminal Justice, and
Adult and Children’s Social Care.
As a leading researcher in the Centre, you will make a demonstrable contribution to research excellence across the Centre by publishing in high quality journals, supervising doctorate students and attracting research funding. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong portfolio of research publications and income generation in areas that focus on addictions and how it affects children and the family.
