This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market leading and well known brand name. Reporting to the Business Analysis Team Leader, the successful candidate will work closely with the development and business analysis teams to design and build wireframes, site maps, prototypes and templates for internal and external facing websites and web applications. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, developers and business analysts on a variety of projects working to deliver high quality web based solutions.
You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to gather and define UX requirements. Therefore, you must have excellent communication skills. You will create user flows and site maps. You should understand the concepts and importance of both and be able to create them quickly. Based on research and requirements you will create wireframes to illustrate and advance the design. You will have flexibility over which tool you use. You will be able to quickly iterate changes, and deliver annotated wireframes to the team for design and development. Rapid prototyping allows my client to put a working site in front of users and stakeholders and gather feedback based on something approaching the final product. Ideally you will be able to create prototypes of varying levels of fidelity from paper prototypes to HTML pages. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate examples of previous deliverables and work in this area. Communication is at the heart of the user experience and you will be comfortable presenting and demonstrating to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
You will have proven IA/UX experience and a clear understanding of user-centred design principles. You will have excellent verbal and written skills, with proven ability to communicate complex ideas and to design and document projects in a clear, concise way. You will be comfortable interacting directly with stakeholders at all levels and have a keen interest in the latest trends and emerging technologies on the web. It will be useful (but not essential) if you have some Agile/Scrum experience and an understanding of device-specific usability. Any experience of designing mobile interfaces either websites or apps will be advantageous.
